  1. Saw your Bodie Island lighthouse photo in Our State magazine, awesome work, do you guys do any teaching classes on night photography?

    • Hi Tom,

Thank you very much. We definitely offer night photography workshops/classes. We can set up a one-on-one class. Depending on your skill level, we can teach you whatever you want to master. Right now, during the Fall and Winter months, the Milky Way isn’t in the right position so Winter classes would focus more on star trails and the basics of night shooting. In the Spring we will ramp up our Milky Way workshops again under the dark skies of the Outer Banks. A typical workshop would be an introduction and going over cameras and gear followed by time in the field actually putting your new skills into practice. If you are a bit more advanced then we can go over some more advanced techniques.

What time frame would you be interested in?

Thank you for contacting us. We hope to hear from you soon.

  2. We are interested in attending one of your Milky Way photography workshops. Spring is coming up and we are ready. In a group or one on one would be fine. Any information on these workshops will be welcomed. Thank you.

    • Good morning Mr. Scalise,

Milky Way season is definitely ramping up and we would love to have you. Our current dates are:
      April – 8th or 9th
      May – 6th or 7th
      June – 3rd or 4th
      July – 1st, 2nd, 29th, and 30th
      September – 2nd, 3rd, 30th
      October – 1st, 28th, and 29th

Our class can be tailored to your needs and skill level. You and/or your group will be accompanied by three photographers with a passion for capturing the night sky. We will cover equipment and gear followed by plenty of time in the field at various locations throughout the Outer Banks providing instruction, tips and tricks along the way. Most of all, we’ll have fun while we provide you with the best possible opportunities to capture the beautiful night skies of the Outer Banks.
We can do one-on-one instruction or in a group setting. Each class costs $300. We are unable to provide travel, insurance, or accommodations.

We certainly look forward to hearing from you and if you prefer to speak to an actual human, you can contact me (Dale) directly at 757-641-5630.
